Field Trips to the Ranch
Our Spring and Fall Ranch Field Trips aim to engage children in active learning experiences that involve their entire body. The field trip consists of 4 interactive stations, providing an opportunity to explore a working ranch and discover different aspects of the outdoors. Guests can enjoy petting various animals, feeding the cattle, exploring a living history ranch station, and having fun in the Kids Korral play area, which includes a giant gunny sack slide. Our goal is to provide an enriching and captivating experience that rejuvenates our guests after spending quality time in the beautiful outdoors of Central Oregon.
WHAT'S THE BUZZ ABOUT BEES
MID MAY - MID JUNE

Spring is arriving and so are our fascinating pollinators. Join us on the ranch to get a sneak peek into a Honeybee’s life.

Take a hayride out to our fields to feed the cattle and learn a bit about cattle ranching at DD Ranch.

Get your wiggles out in the Kids Korral play area where kids will find a giant gunny sack slide, swings, elevated fort, natural stump jump and plenty of space for running and exploring.

Spend some quiet time getting to know our petting zoo animals. We’ve always got goats, sheep, pot belly pigs and loads of peacocks, but in Spring, you might catch a glimpse of baby pigs or tottering lambs!

Enjoy the education station where we discover some of the mysteries behind bees and their habits. Afterwards, students will have a chance to plant a small cup-sized wildflower garden, to take home and observe the changes from seed to flower.

At the end of our visit, students can take home a honey straw.
